11A – Idea Napkin No. 1
You: I am a student of UF and I believe my talent is able to see things in a different. I see my business is a service that will make the society better by bringing convenience to my customers. This business is also my first business and it's going to be a awesome experience in my life.
What are you offering to customers:
I want to bringing convenience to those forget to bring umbrellas while it start to rain by providing them umbrellas if they what.
What are you offering it to:
I am offering it to those who always forget or don't want to bring umbrellas.
Why do they care:
It is terrible situation if it start to rain and you don't have an umbrella. You have to walk in the rain or find a shelter to wait till it stop. It will be annoying experience to many people.
What are your core competencies:
Others do have the same experience with me (forget bringing umbrellas), but they did not think deeper to this situation.. The thing really differ me from others is I took ENT3003. (hahaha)
This class do make me think more than I usually do and see things that others ignored.
I think it they fit together pretty well, I do think it is a business ideal with a great potential.

My main suggestion for this post is that you type it out in a word document or elsewhere prior to posting it on here. There are quite a few grammatical errors in this post, and I think that using spell check would make your material much easier to read.
ReplyDeleteI would also recommend that you try to go a little bit more in depth with your answers. For example, I feel that you could have come up with many more core competencies than you did. Having taken ENT3003 is not a core competency. What you learned from taking ENT3003 would be a better example of a core competency.
I believe you need to create a more concrete business idea rather than just stating something you may see as an unmet need. You didn't seem to include any details about your service, what it was going to provide, and how you were going to provide it. In order to run an efficient and successful business your target market is very important; think of exactly who you want to sell your service to and where this best fits rather than just establishing generalizations. Without this foundation your business idea will simply remain an idea. You should use this idea napkin exercise to sketch out all the possible solutions to what you believe is a prominent unmet need and maybe be able to start up a business from there.
