8A – Solving The Problem
Opportunity: I want to solve the problem that people sometimes or frequently forget to bring an umbrella in Florida (I want to start with the campus first).
Product/Service: I want to place some machines that densely located on campus (Like on every dining center and college building, but the further research will required to determine where do people densely located to take shelter from rain. Liberty maybe a great place.) Those machines require UFID cards or cell phone App to rent/sell umbrellas or raincoats. (Renting can be free as long as they return it on time). People also are welcome to sent feedback through App, and if we think the feedback if awesome and can improve our service, the person who sent the feedback will be rewarded.

ReplyDeleteI found this opportunity really intriguing because I have been caught on campus a few times without an umbrella when it has started pouring rain without warning. It really isn't a fun experience to having to walk to my next class or car soaking wet. I think the umbrella/raincoat vending machine could be a good idea, but I think the issue would be students returning the umbrellas on the same day if they have to go back to the same vending machine from where they got it from. I think there would have to be a system where the umbrellas have a serial number so it can be returned to any vending machine on campus.
