3A Your Entrepreneurship Story

The first time I have exposed to entrepreneurship is when I read the book Rich Dad Poor Dad. I learned many new concepts and different ways of thinking from the book. For example, the book talked about being wealthy have nothing to do with how much money you have, but about the way you think. Having a mindset of an entrepreneur will lead you to wealth. However, if you have lots of money, and did not take care of them or start to waste them you will end up being poor in the end. That's something pretty new to me. I do realize that entrepreneurs would have a different point of view from most employees on the same thing. The book really refreshed my mind and I decided to become an entrepreneur.

The reason if enrolled in this class is that I am interested in becoming an entrepreneur. I wanted to be enlightened in this class. hopefully, I can come up with an awesome business idea and act on it.

  1. Shi,

I have heard of this book, but I have never read it. It sounds like a very interesting read. Although I am not sure if this was his conclusion, it appears to me that Robert T. Kiyosaki might have recognized a difference between being rich and being wealthy. Although being rich may have to do with how much money you have, being wealthy has more to do with your mindset, skill sets, and potential.

I also am very fascinated by the entrepreneurial mindset and consider myself to be an entrepreneur. I am greatly look forward to further developing my entrepreneurial skills throughout the rest of this Fall semester.

It sounds to me based off of this blog post and your other blog posts that you are already thinking like an entrepreneur. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors.

  2. Shi,

I haven’t heard of this book or author before, but how you describe the book makes it sound like an interesting read as an aspiring entrepreneur in this class. I believe there is a huge different between being rich and being wealthy, but what matters most is how you maintain it. If you don’t maintain the money or assets that you have to that make you wealthy, then you will end up dropping down from the pedestal.

  3. Shi,

I do not have any knowledge on this book, but it seems like it can be a very beneficial book to read. I like your comment stating "having the mind of an entrepreneur will lead to wealth". This seem like a mindset that can open up so many opportunities for any individual. We both hope to be enlightened about the entrepreneurial concept throughout this course. Great story and great post!

I have heard so much about this book, but for some reason I always put it off and read other books instead. I know it is not a get rich quick scheme, but just teach different concept about wealth that might contradict from the norm.
It seems like you already have your mind set on what you want from this class which is great.
    Thanks for the good post
